Baltimore, MD: July 24 – 28, 2017

Our first Baltimore Urban Mission Camp featured service projects at Manna House Soup Kitchen, Habitat for Humanity Restore, Board of Child Care, The Samaritan Women, Little Flowers Early Childhood and Development Center, and Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland. Participants met at Glen Mar each morning (Mon - Fri) and then went into Baltimore to serve. At the end of each day, we met back at Glen Mar for an evening meal and fellowship together. One afternoon, we went to the National Aquarium at the Inner Harbor. This trip had three crews, seven ministry sites, one prayer tour, and 29 awesome participants, resulting in blessings galore and lives transformed in powerful ways. Our team shared these "God Moments" from our trip:

--- This week has made me more appreciative/grateful for my home and family. I have really enjoyed getting to know other/new to me Glen Martians better. Mission trips are a great “re-set” for me about my priorities. God was working in our crew’s lives each day. - Holly F.

--- Throughout the mission trip in Baltimore, I have experienced many different feelings. It has opened my eyes of the completely different world that is also so close. Little Flowers and the Manna House have given me an opportunity to serve others in community while the Prayer Tour and the Samaritan Women Farm showed me darker areas that are often ignored. Overall it has been a life changing experience. - Jake C.
