Restore Volunteers Needed: July 8, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Sign up by July 2. Instead of construction, Habitat for Humanity needs help unloading donations, preparing for sale and other needed tasks at the Columbia store. Free Summer Concerts at Glen Mar: July 23, 3:00 p.m. & Aug. 17, 7:30 p.m.

“No Strings” Summer Choir: Practice Aug. 24 & Perform Aug. 27
All who are interested in singing for worship can participate for 8:00 & 9:30 services on August 27. A one-hour (7:00 - 8:00 p.m.) rehearsal is scheduled on Thursday, August 24. No prior singing experience is required.

Community Action Council Expresses Gratitude to Glen Mar
Community Action Council expresses gratitude for the generosity of the Glen Mar congregation in support of their organization and the service and feeding programs they provide into the community. This partnership is supported through the Glen Mar annual budget, the food collection ministry, and the Glen Mar 5K that extends God’s reach to those in need locally.
“Angels for a Cure” Team raised $8,418 for the American Cancer Society
The team participated in the Relay for Life of Howard County event held on June 10. Thanks to all who supported the team at last fall’s concert and this spring’s Spotlight Ministries. Grassroots 'Immediate Needs' collected all year long
The Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center's Family Shelter and the Rt. 1 Day Resource Center (DRC) are always in need of essential items such as toiletries, nonperishable food, or new or slightly-used clothing and blankets. Look for the blue shopping lists with specific seasonal needs that are updated and available in The Gathering Place kiosk, Welcome Center, and near the collection bin on the lower level, or download the list here.
Grassroots Meals Ministry Needs Additional Volunteers
For many years, Glen Mar servants have provided meatloaves and milk for 40 residents the 4th Tuesday monthly. The number has now grown to 50 - 60 and additional help is needed. Donations of money, or Giant or BJ's gift cards are also needed and checks or gift cards can be left in the mail slot near the Café in an envelope labeled “Grassroots Meals”.
Bible Studies Available to Supplement Sermon Series on Paul's Letters
Glen Mar will be starting a sermon series exploring Paul’s letters to the church. The Small Group Resource Center in room 143 has several studies that could be used to supplement the sermons, either at home, or in small groups. Gift card sales Continue to Return about 5% of Sales
Proceeds go to the Mission Ministry Support Fund and many other ministries. Families have also earned over $50,000 in family accounts to helpoffset their mission trip costs. Thank you to all the families that have helped total gift card sales surpass $4 million.
