Confirmation Class for 8th Grade Youth has begun at 9:30 a.m. Service
Youth in 8th grade, along with older youth who have not yet been confirmed, are invited to take part in this year’s Confirmation Class. The class meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. and runs from September to May. In addition to learning all about being a Christian and a United Methodist, youth experience different ways to serve, grow, and worship Christian community. 9:30 a.m. programs include Sprouts for children in kindergarten and younger, Pathfinders for kids in 1st through 5th grade, Bible in a Nutshell for 6th and 7th grade youth, Confirmation Class for 8th grade youth (starts Sept. 17 ), and Rooted for high school youth. At 11 a.m. children up through kindergarten can take part in Sprouts, while kids in 1st through 5th grade start in the Spirit Center with their families, then head downstairs for Kids’ Worship. Grassroots 'Immediate Needs' collected all year long
The Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center's Family Shelter and the Rt. 1 Day Resource Center (DRC) are always in need of essential items such as toiletries, nonperishable food, or new or slightly-used clothing and blankets. Look for the blue shopping lists with specific seasonal needs that are updated and available in The Gathering Place kiosk, Welcome Center, and near the collection bin on the lower level, or download the list here
Grassroots Meals Ministry Needs Additional Volunteers
