Check for Grassroots

The Glen Mar Golf Classic is an annual event to benefit Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, Howard County’s only 24-hour crisis intervention center and shelter for the homeless. The golf outing is held at Timbers at Troy in Elkridge, MD, with a silent auction taking place during lunch. All proceeds benefit Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center.

2017 Event Info

Please join us for the 6th Annual Glen Mar Golf Classic on Monday, May 22, 2017. We will have a great day of golf at the beautiful Timbers at Troy in Elkridge, MD. The golf outing includes a light breakfast, a silent auction and a luncheon to follow the tournament. In addition to trophies and prizes for the three foursomes with the lowest scores, prizes will be awarded for longest drive (men and women), for closest to pin (men and women), and for lowest scoring seniors (over age 65) and women foursomes. There will be a Hole-In-One in one chance to win a car, a putting contest, and other opportunities to win prizes.

Soup'r Sundae Silent Auction

On Sunday, April 2, from noon to 3 p.m., Glen Mar Church teamed up with Bethany United Methodist Church to put on a Silent Auction at the Soup'r Sundae fundraiser benefit event for Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, raising over $12,000. This event featured all you can eat soup and ice cream, hundreds of Silent Auction items, and music and entertainment for children. All proceeds from the event went to Grassroots. Special thanks to the congregation for preparing themed baskets and donating funds toward the auction. Learn more.
