Glen Mar Leadership Board
The Leadership Board's role is to provide leadership for Glen Mar Church by ensuring the church fulfills the vision, mission, and ministry of the local congregation. This is in support of the vision of The United Methodist Church's mission "to make disciples for the transformation of the world." The Board provides guidance, support, and accountability to ministry leaders and staff for the sake of the mission and vision of the church. Effective January 2017, the Leadership Board replaces the former Leadership Team as well as the Church Council. Read about the Single Board Model here.
One of the primary areas of focus for the Leadership Board is to ensure that Glen Mar is positioned to achieve our 2017 Goals and Objectives.
Membership: There are 14 Board Members: Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Finance Chair, Trustee Chair, SPRC Chair, Pastor for Community Life (without vote), Leader Pastor, At Large Strategic Leader (missions), At Large Strategic Leader (18-35), Lay Leader, Pastor for Worship (without vote), and Minister for Operations (without vote).
The Leadership Board membership is for a three year term and renewable for one additional term of three years for a total of six years.
Meeting Frequency: The Leadership Board meets monthly.
Key issues that are discussed and important decisions made by the Leadership Board are shared each quarter at Glen Mar Ministry Connection Meetings.

Glen Mar Ministry Connection
Individuals in church leadership positions are invited and encouraged to attend to learn about important projects and issues that are being addressed by the Leadership Board. However, these meetings are open to any interested member.
Meeting Frequency: Quarterly Meetings generally begin at 6:30 with dinner, with the meeting beginning at 7:15 p.m. Meetings last until about 9:00 p.m.
Next Ministry Connection Meeting: The November Ministry Connection meeting has been canceled.
