The mission of the Social Justice Ministry at Glen Mar is to bring about systemic change by educating, connecting, and supporting action and advocacy on social justice issues presenting the life-giving message of Jesus Christ and guided by the United Methodist Social Principles. This group began in 2012 with a desire to explore the systemic issues that relate to justice issues. While celebrating that Glen Mar is involved in many areas of hands-on ministry and mission, there is also a need to look at the underlying causes of people's needs.
Educational programs are held to address various social justice issues. A speaker or speakers with expertise on the given subject are invited to share information and be involved in a time of questions and answers.
