DESCRIPTION:Friday, August 16, 7:00 – 8:00 pm\nQuey Percussion Duo will dazzle the audience by blending traditions of contemporary, cross-cultural, classical, and popular music at this free event in Glen Mar’s Spirit Center. Quey members Dr. Gene Koshinski and Dr. Tim Broscious have performed extensively throughout the United States and other countries. The duo elevates the acts of striking, shaking, and scraping into a blast of energy. Quey has generated almost 200 new works written for or by the duo.\nThey can be heard in the score of the award-wining short film, The Passage which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2018.\nQPD holds the only full-time residency by a percussion duo in this country at the University of Delaware where they co-direct the percussion program, deliver various chamber ensembles, coordinate applied lessons, and present joint studio classes.
