Dancing Needles Group – Featured in Ties That Bind Sermon Series

The Messenger 2022-11-01

On Sunday, October 23, 2022 our sermon series “The Ties That Bind” sermon was titled “Woven.” Our congregation was invited to share what that word meant to us literally and figuratively. Our group, Dancing Needles was highlighted as a group that literally weaves – knits or crochets blankets and gives them to those in need, figuratively weaving our community together.

We would like to invite you to join our group.

Do you enjoy knitting and crocheting or would you like to learn?  If so, we need you in our Dancing Needles group. This group makes prayer shawls that are given to people in hospitals and those in need of special care as a reminder that others care and are praying for them. The group is also making baby blankets for our newborns and scarves for our armed forces.

Dancing Needles usually meets the second Thursday of every month at 3:00 pm in Room 144 to knit, crochet, and share together. If you wish, you can knit or crochet at home, and we can arrange to have your finished items picked up or dropped off at church.

Donations of yarn are always welcome.

If you know of someone you think may appreciate a prayer shawl/baby blanket or just want information, contact Lois Hildebrand.
