Ken & Brad Kolodner Quartet
Friday, June 21, 7:00 – 8:00 pm
Followed by a jam session – bring your instruments!
The Ken & Brad Kolodner Quartet brings a unique spin to old music by weaving the hammered dulcimer and clawhammer sounds together to make American folk music. The quartet will play traditional and original music.
This concert will be held INSIDE – due to the heat. A hot dog bar and beverages will be provided by our famous chef, George Dohner, starting at 5:00 p.m. Suggested donation is $10 for adults, $5 for children – with seating available both outside and inside Glen Mar Church.
Ken is one of the most influential hammered dulcimer players and old-time fiddlers in North America. His son Brad is a renowned clawhammer banjo player. Ken and Brad will be joined by bassist Alex Lacquement, who has crafted a unique, dazzling style, and by fiddler and guitarist Rachel Eddy, a dynamic multi-instrumentalist. The father-son musicians and Rachel Eddy performed in this concert series in June 2018.
After the concert, the musicians will hold an old-time jam. All are welcome to play fiddle tunes and old-time songs. Bring your instruments.
