Free Fall Prevention Class

Glen Mar is hosting a free class on fall prevention presented by the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. Take steps to lower your risk of a fall with serious injury. Join us on January 20 at 1:30 pm in Room 145. Please register so we know you’re coming.
- Fall are the leading cause of admission to Shock Trauma.
- One in every five falls results in a serious injury such as a brain injury or a broken bone.
- Falls are not a normal part of the aging process.
There are many factors that might increase your risk of falling, including age (over 65), chronic pain, arthritis, diabetes, blood disorders, low Vitamin D, medications, and substance use. If you or someone you care about is at risk, come learn about ways to prevent a serious injury.
