Pastor’s Ponderings – St. Patrick’s Day

Pastor's Ponderings

Dear Glen Mar friends,

I am so grateful for the awesome worship we had on Sunday, from the music and the hospitality team, to the preacher and the readers/prayers. What a blessing! It is good to see the Spirit Center filling up  again and hear the marvelous music from our band and choirs! I hope you’ll join us on Sunday for a message about the party God has in mind for prodigal sons and daughters. I’m calling it “It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere” (with apologies to Jimmy Buffett and Alan Jackson.) Y’all come!

At this point, everyone should have received an email inviting you to log into Realm, our new church communication/online platform. If you have NOT received one, or if you have had ANY problems logging in, we want to know and we want to help. Email re***@********mc.org and we’ll help!

Also, I’m excited that this Sunday after the 11:00 am service, we’ll have a special “one time” new member class for folks who are ready to join Glen Mar and “make it official!” If you’d like to be a part of it, email wo*****@********mc.org to RSVP if you haven’t let us know already, by Friday at 5 pm, along with any dietary restrictions you may have!

In honor of St. Patrick, and his feast day this week, I offer this prayer he wrote:

May your days be many and your troubles be few.
May all God’s blessings descend upon you.
May peace be within you, may your heart be strong.
May you find what you’re seeking wherever you roam.
May the strength of God pilot us, may the wisdom of God instruct us.
May the hand of God protect us, may the word of God direct us.
May thy Salvation, O Lord, be always ours this day and for evermore.
Amen.

See you in Church,

Pastor Mandy
