Grassroots Meals Ministry

Meal Delivery: 4th Tuesday Each Month Grassroots is the only general emergency shelter in Howard County. It serves families and single adult women at 6700 Freetown Road in Columbia, MD. Grassroots provides three meals daily for their shelter residents from their on-site commercial kitchen. They rely heavily on community support to accomplish this. Glen Mar provides lunch on the 4th Saturday of every month.
8-10 adult volunteers are needed to prepare one or more dishes, half of whom will stay to serve lunch on site or do other jobs (e.g., greeter, shower/laundry monitor, pantry). Sign up here to participate. If you’d like an email notification of each month’s RSVP link, email us.
