Return Boxes in Gathering Place Nov. 14

Glen Mar is collecting gift boxes for Operation Christmas Child, a project that ships shoe boxes filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items to children around the world. Community churches distribute the boxes, allowing them to connect with children and families and share the love of Jesus. Boxes are delivered to children affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, famine, and disease. You and your family are invited to pack one or more boxes and bring them to Glen Mar by Sunday, Nov. 14.

Visit the Samaritan’s Purse website to get all the details about packing a box. You can use your own shoe boxes or pick up empty pre-printed boxes in the Gathering Place on Nov. 7.

You can also build a shoe box online and send the Gospel to the ends of the earth without leaving home!

In addition, the middle school youth group will be packing boxes on November 14, and you can help by donating small gifts and school supplies to go in the boxes and money to cover the cost of shipping the boxes ($9 per box). Drop off donations on November 7 and 14 in the Gathering Place.
