2025-26 CONFIRMATION CLASS – Sunday, August 24 at 10:45 am in Youth Lounge. Attention all 8th graders and older youth (and their parents): There will be an information meeting for all youths and parents of youth in the 8th grade or older who have not yet been confirmed. This will be a time when we discuss all our plans for the 2025 confirmation class. We will examine the meaning of confirmation, go over all the requirements and expectations we have for participants, and have the class schedule on hand. This will be a great time to have all your questions answered about the confirmation process. This meeting is critical for any youth thinking about being confirmed in 2026. Please talk to D.C. YOUTH GROUP FALL KICKOFF & PARENTS’ MEETING – Sunday August 24, from 5:00 pm to 7:30pm in the Spirit Center. ALL rising 6th grade youth and older, along with their families, are invited to come to the annual Fall Kickoff & Parents’ Meeting. There will be a dinner, with the church providing the burgers and the beverages. We ask every family to bring a side dish or a dessert to share. This will be a time to hear about all things youth ministry. We will look at the fall calendar, learn about the vast diversity of opportunities for youth at Glen Mar, and meet the adults that will be working with the youth. Parents will have the chance to sign up to help with dinners. Youth will be able to sign up for the middle school retreat and complete their youth group permission forms. We’ll end the evening with some cool entertainment that you won’t want to miss. This is the most important meeting of the year, and all youth and their families are strongly urged to attend.
