Dear Friends in Christ,

Some of you know this already, but for those who don’t, as of July 1, I will be appointed as half-time Associate Pastor of the Sykesville Parish. There are three churches in the parish, and two of them were in my cluster many years ago when I served in that area, so I know some of the folks from working together years ago and others from living in the neighborhood. It should be an easy transition for them and for me. My last Sunday at Glen Mar will likely be June 14.

I am grateful for this time at Glen Mar and the opportunity to serve among you. I am especially grateful for the Disciple classes, both last year and this, where I have learned something every week from someone. Monday mornings and Tuesday evenings have been my favorite times of the week because of these curious, faithful disciples of Jesus, and I have loved our time together.

Thank you all for welcoming Dick and me and receiving my ministry. Any blunders and shortcomings are all mine, and anything good comes from the gracious hand of God. I will hold you in my heart and prayers, and know you will continue to do God’s good work in the world with joy and faithfulness.
