October Clergy/Staff Appreciation Month

Opportunities to Serve
clergy appreciation, staff appreciation

October is Clergy—and here at Glen Mar, also Staff—Appreciation month!  Our staff have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic keeping us safe and providing us with a joyful space.  At Glen Mar, all of us are a team.  As a team member, it’s important to let our coaches know that we appreciate them, and that we recognize the incredible effort they put forth to keep our team running.

Paul Behrens Service

Pastor's Ponderings
Paul Behrens

Dear Glen Mar,
We had taken advantage of the fact that Laity Sunday coincided with RIT’s Parent’s Weekend to go see Lydia this weekend, are driving home today from there. I’m eager to get back to MD to be with you all. As one of your pastors, it feels wrong to be away from our church family when things happen. I’m gratified and humbled by the powerful worship and care you all showed for one another, and for Pastor Melaina’s leadership at a time when I wanted deeply to be there “in person” with you.
I wanted to let you all know that we will be having a visitation for Paul Behrens at Glen Mar on Friday evening, 10/22, from 6-8 pm and the service on Saturday 10/23 at 11, with visitation beforehand from 9:30-11 am. There will be no food afterwards so that people may remain masked and COVID safe.

All Saints’ Day will be observed in worship on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at both the 9:30 am and 11:00 am services.
