For our first meeting in the new Glen Mar Speaker Series, I anticipated approximately 23 people (who had signed up in Realm or reached out to me). To my wonderful surprise, over 60 individuals attended! The January presentation was given by representatives from UMD Shock Trauma in Baltimore and included comprehensive information regarding fall risks. Each attendee was asked to evaluate the presentation for content and applicability, as well as to indicate other desired topics!  Some topics of interest include senior housing, downsizing, and caregiving.

The next program will be held Thursday, February 26 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  Please join us for a talk by guest speaker Ted Meyerson for a talk on how to stay safe from fraud and scams. Mr. Meyerson is a volunteer for AARP and the Howard County Office on Aging and Independence, and a member of AARP Fraud Watch Network.
