Dear Glen Mar friends,
Eric and I had the chance to take a few vacation days and go to Ocean City this week. I am so grateful for the time to think and pray and take in the beauty of creation, and give thanks for God’s presence and provision in our lives and in the life of Glen Mar Church. Even (and maybe especially) pastors need to take time to draw closer to God and restore, renew and reconnect! We’ll be back tomorrow and ready to go on Sunday. I might have a bit of a sunburn… LOL.
Now is a great time to draw closer to God and get engaged in the adventure of discipleship at Glen Mar! This weekend, we will have lots of information about how to sign up for a small group/Bible study, which is one of the best ways I know to grow in relationship to God and God’s people.
We also have many other opportunities to learn, connect and grow. Communication is always a challenge in any church, so we have ways designed to make that easier coming up.
On Saturday, September 23, I am having a casual “zoom coffee with Mandy” at 11:00 a.m., to connect and share and listen. We’ll talk stewardship, vision and anything else you want to talk about, over coffee or tea and Zoom. Sign up here for the zoom link OR email Mary Ellen or me for the zoom link. I’ll be having these informal meetings monthly going forward as well, as a way to be more available to folks.
Lunch w/the Pastors: New Member Class – Sunday, October 1 at 12:30 pm. Join us for a special lunch for people who want to join Glen Mar Church! We would love to meet with you in person and talk about what it means to be a member at Glen Mar. Sign up today!
Ministry Town Hall – Tuesday, October 3 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Join us at our next Ministry Town Hall where you have a chance to engage with ministry leaders, ask the Pastors questions about Methodism or Glen Mar specifically, and learn about upcoming events. Your presence and input matter. Hope to see you there. Register to attend in person or online today!
See you in church this Sunday!
PS Don’t’ forget the Health Fair tomorrow at Glen Mar from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you want to help greet folks, come on down and we’ll put you to work!
