Greetings Glen Mar,

Over the past several months, we have seen and felt something exciting happening in the life of our church. People are not just attending worship; they are finding a place to belong. Some are returning after having been gone for a while, some are new and have been led to find Glen Mar, while others are connecting deeper than before.

That kind of movement matters, and it raises an important question:

What is God inviting us into next?

As we look ahead, it is clear that this is a moment to be intentional about how we live into our mission of praising God, growing disciples, and serving the world. Not just individually, but together.

That is where our new One Fund campaign and two-year vision for ministry, Rise: Together as One, comes into focus.

On Sunday, May 17th, we will offer presentations immediately following each worship service (10:45 and 12:15) to share more about this next step in the life of our church. I want to encourage you to plan to stay for a few minutes after worship that day to hear more. If you cannot make those, there will be other opportunities the following week to hear more about Rise’s vision.

For now, I simply invite you to pray and to pay attention to what God is doing among us.

As the prophet Isaiah reminds us, “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.”

Let us step forward and rise together.
