Hello Glen Mar!

Did you get a chance to see Glen Mar transformed into an Alaskan Wilderness? During the week of July 7, we hosted 135 elementary and middle school children at Vacation Bible School “True North.” We learned that we can TRUST JESUS in this wild world! Glen Mar really stepped up to support our program by donating supplies, food for our volunteers and help during the program. In fact, we had a team of 80 youths and adults serve during VBS!

This year we were able to expand our extended day option to include an early drop-off option. This provided families more options and the flexibility they needed so their children could participate in VBS.

Every year we do an outreach project to help support those in need at home and around the world. This year, our focus was to raise money for cold weather gear for children and families right here in North America. For every $5 raised, World Vision was able to provide up to $70 worth of blankets, coats, hats, and gloves. We set a goal of $1,500, and if we made our goal, I volunteered to take a plunge into some VERY cold water! Well, we hit our goal, so I took the plunge!

All of this is possible because of your support! VBS is a HUGE undertaking and relies on volunteers to make it happen each year. Thank you for your prayers and your presence at True North VBS this year!

Julie
