On behalf of the Columbia Pregnancy Center, I wanted to thank Fayette Stewart and Glen Mar Church for hosting another very successful baby shower benefiting the Columbia Pregnancy Center! There was barely a dry eye in the chapel during the presentation and testimonial portion. Glen Mar members were very moved by learning about our center and the lives of the women, men and children we serve. We are so very grateful to be given the opportunity to share about the work we do, in Jesus’ Name.
Fifteen Glen Mar members attended/stopped by the day of the shower on April 30th. One of your church members in attendance is a current client of ours. She wanted to pay forward the support she had received and to directly express her gratitude for the support she received from the CPC. This was unexpected and was an added blessing for us both. Besides the 15 in attendance, an additional 9 members who were unable to attend the shower donated items and money during our spotlight weeks leading up to the event.
In all, Glen Mar members raised/donated:
- $1,885 in financial donations
- 2,736 diaper wipes
- 404 diapers
- 343 items (clothes, toys, blankets, bath items, feeding items, toiletries, etc.)
And these donations could not have come at a better time! We had hosted a very well attended Nutrition Class for our parents the Friday before, after which the 25 moms in attendance had “shopped” our shelves nearly bare. So, it was such a relief for our boutique manager to have all these items to fill the shelves right back up again!! God is always right on time.
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!! We cannot do the work we do without the support from local churches just like yours. And we cannot wait to come back next year for the 3rd annual shower.
