By Julie Metakes, Minister for Children & Family

Greetings!

We have been BUSY in Children and Family Ministries!

Sprouts, our Pre-K and Kindergarten class, have been learning about the church while Pathfinders, for children in grades 1-5th, have been learning about the Fruits of the Spirit this quarter. Weaving the stories about Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the parables of the Lost Son and the Good Samaritan with practical and real-life applications of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness self-control and praise. We plan to finish up just before the season of Advent begins!

Planning for Advent and the Family Christmas Eve Pageant!

This Advent season, we will be taking Pathfinders on a Journey to Bethlehem in the classroom. Lessons in class will tie in with the message being shared in service throughout the Advent season. The Christmas Eve Pageant is being created for our two Family Christmas Eve services and I hope you are as excited as I am to see the youth put together the story of our savior with a fun and creative spin!
