Pastor’s Ponderings – A Song of Joy

Pastor's Ponderings

Dear Glen Mar friends,

We’re making our end of year list of worship, discipleship and service, and checking it twice…I hope you’ll join us for JOY! A Musical Celebration at 9:30 and Joyous Praise and Worship at 11:00 AM this Sunday, our Longest Night Service on December 21, and our Christmas Eve Services this year (9:30 & 11:00 AM, 7:00,9:00, & 11:00 PM) and bell-ringing, joyous Christmas Day service at 10:00 AM. Bring friends and neighbors, because it’s going to be powerful and meaningful, and the perfect gift this Christmas—the gift of a Savior.

Our Youth Group will be sharing their own Song of Joy as they go caroling on Sunday at 6-6:30 pm at Miller’s Grant Health Center and at Vantage Point outside the restaurant there, to share the Song of Joy that Jesus brings!

I wanted to share part of an email we got last week from a Glen Mar person who worships with us online, titled “A note of Thanks”

Yesterday as I sat in my robe with my iPad in my lap there was Glen Mar and you and Eric and the choir and the organ and Cathie and the bells and the Lord’s Table. And I was a part of it all. I am so grateful for live stream. Thank you to all who make it possible. I love my church. I love you all.

This is the perfect time of year to invite folks to be blessed by Glen Mar, to share the love and hope and life that Jesus brings! Won’t you help us out by being an ambassador for Christ and Glen Mar?

I also wanted to share that Bob Chichester, beloved husband of Marian, passed away this week. His service will be at Witzke’s Funeral Home on Monday at noon. Here is the obituary link. I know you join me in praying for Marian and the family.

I’ll see you in church soon—as we find out what in the world would make the Grinch’s heart grow three sizes!!

In Christ,

Pastor Mandy
