Dear Glen Mar friends,

I’m so excited to be back with you in worship this Sunday! We got our daughter graduated from college, and I had a Pastor Transition Seminar last Sunday…it will be SO good to be with you. We’ll pray for military families as we honor Memorial Day, and I’ll preach one of my last 3 sermons…called “Keeping the Lights On”—please come! It will be so good to be together!

We have put together a “Light the Way” stewardship mailing that I really want you to read carefully…It will come to the address we have for you in the regular mail—It can be easy to miss it. Don’t recycle it before reading! So much love and care went into it—with pictures and testimonies and information…. Our own Wendy Baird and Andrea Kagey took the stories of God’s faithfulness and the things we collected and made it so beautiful. Please take time with it and pray about how God is calling all of us to shine our light so that we can do and be the things God is calling Glen Mar to do and to be! It should appear in your mail as early as tomorrow!

Eric and I are so grateful for all the cards and gifts and expressions of love that y’all have shared with us! What a blessing you are and have been in our lives! We covet your prayers in these weeks, and I know Pastor Chris and his family need them also, as he prepares for joining you as your new pastor in July, and for a Communion time together at the end of this month—Saturday, May 31 at 5:00 pm.
