We recently concluded our 2024 funding campaign for both our annual operating expenses and our Capital Fund, which pays the mortgages. As always, we are amazed and thankful for the way Glen Mar’s members responded to the call. Here’s a quick update on the results to date.
We received estimates of giving that will account for 61% of the $1.6M goal to fund our annual operating expenses. This is a bit higher than the average percentage of budget covered by estimated giving at most churches. Giving to this fund has been healthy for the past year or so, and we typically receive additional unpledged gifts that enable us to meet our monthly expenses and finish each year “in the black.”
We asked for additional or increased estimates of giving for the Capital Fund, to which giving has fallen short for the past year or more. We had a goal to gather at least $100K in additional estimated giving. Your estimates of giving significantly exceeded that amount. When added to what was already submitted last year, this will account for 87% of our original 3-year campaign goal of $1.95M to cover mortgage payments through the end of June 2026. We also typically receive some unpledged gifts to this fund and will need that to continue so we can stay current on the mortgage payments.
Glen Mar’s ability to serve the world through its ministries and maintain the facility is dependent on your continued giving. We appreciate your diligence staying current with your estimated giving, and we are grateful for all gifts. As you have heard many times before, if you haven’t submitted an estimate of giving yet, it’s never too late. The better picture we have of our expected resources, the more confidently we can plan the ways Glen Mar will fulfill God’s mission.
Thank you and bless you.
