  • New Young Adult Group for 21-25 Year Olds: Starts Sunday, August 6 at 5:00 pm –Find community & support among peers at the same life-stage as you! If you are older and wish to connect with peers, consider Snack Pack—a group of post, post college-aged adults who meet Tuesday nights at 7:00 pm at Glen Mar.   • Intro to Modern Square Dance!! Friday, August 11 – 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Glen Mar Church. No experience necessary—if you can walk, you can dance. Couples & singles are welcome. This is a free event. Get your steps in and BLAST away the calories. Reduce the stress of your day and find new friends. Bring your own reusable water container. This year, we will learn how change is an important part of our growth and transformation; we are being shaped and re-shaped again and again.  Please sign your family up to be worship leaders. For less “up-front” ways to help like greeting or ushering, let us know you are interested.

Sandtown Food Drive: July 23 through August 6

Glen Mar is collecting food items for people served by the Ames United Methodist Church in Baltimore. Ames, located in the Sandtown area of Baltimore, is a long-time partner of Glen Mar, and serves its community with food, clothing, and employment assistance. We will collect items from 23 July through 6 August. The list of items is available on the spotlight table in the Gathering Place.

“No Strings” Choir – Sunday July 30 at 9:30 pm Worship

Love to sing? Interested in trying out Choir but not ready to commit? Already in the choir and still wanna sing? Join our “No Strings” Choir and learn a song or two or three for the Sunday, July 30 Worship Service. Simply join choir practice on Thursday, July 27 at 7:00 pm in the Music Suite. HOLA Toastmasters of Ellicott City – Tuesday, August 1 at 7:30 pm

We meet twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm. We have hybrid meetings both online and in person on first Tuesdays at Glen Mar and on ZOOM only on third Tuesdays. For more information, email Rajan G.

New Member Class: Lunch w/the Pastors – Sunday, August 6 at 12:30 pm

Join us for a special New Membership Class – for people who want to join Glen Mar Church! Have you been attending a while, love it at Glen Mar, but haven’t become a member? Join us for a special New Member Class and lunch—on us! We would love to meet with you in person and discuss becoming a member. This is an informal gathering where you can get to know our church leadership and ask any questions you may have about our church – and we get a chance to learn about you, too! Handbell Workshop – Sunday, August 27 at 10:45 am
