Glen Mar Food Drive – May 25 to June 15. As part of our continuing mission to provide food for needy families in Howard County, as well as those served by our partner church in Baltimore, Ames United Methodist Church, Glen Mar will be collecting food items from May 25 to June 15. Please pick up a bag with a list of needed food items from the table in the gathering place, and thank you for your continued efforts to feed local families in need. Glen Mar’s Angels for a Cure team – is raising money and taking orders for luminarias for the American Cancer Society in the Gathering Place today. The team will participate in Relay For Life of Baltimore and Howard Counties on July 19.

Mission Training #3 – Saturday, May 31, 9:00 am-12:00 pm. All youth and adult participants in either the North Carolina or Baltimore mission trips are reminded of our final training this Saturday in Youth Lounge. We’ll be looking at qualities essential for a mission trip, the importance of prayer, and assigning crews. There will be practical skills training for construction for the NC participants. Please bring any final payments and any paperwork that needs turned in. There will be a Safe Sanctuaries training at 12:15 pm for anyone who will be 18 or older on their trip who is not current with the training.

Family Matters Pot Luck Dinner – Saturday, June 7, 6:00 pm. Do you have kids in preschool through middle school? We are a small group that typically meets every 1st Saturday of the month. Bring the whole family, an entrée or side dish and join us in the Glen Mar Youth Lounge.

Dinner & a Movie – We are looking for families willing to host Dinner & a Movie nights for high school youth this summer. On Wednesday nights we would like a family to provide dinner and then a TV with a way of ordering an online movie and room for a dozen or so people. The timeframe would be from 6:30 to 9:30pm. We are looking for hosts on: July 2, July 16, July 30 and August 6. Contact D.C. Veale if interested.
