Windsor, NC June 23 – June 29

Glen Mar Church’s upcoming mission trip to Windsor, NC, is shaping up to be a truly special experience. From June 23 to 29, 2024, participants will be rolling up their sleeves to lend a helping hand to families in need in Plymouth, NC. 

The main goal is simple yet powerful: to improve living conditions and make a positive difference in the community. Whether it’s fixing up homes, painting, or sprucing up yards, every little bit of effort counts toward building a stronger, more resilient Plymouth.

But it’s not just about the physical work. This trip offers a chance for both youth and adults to grow personally and spiritually and have fun while doing so. Facing challenges together, forming tight bonds, and seeing the impact of their actions firsthand will leave a lasting impression on everyone involved.

Through this journey of service, participants will deepen their empathy, resilience, and sense of social responsibility. And for many, it will be an opportunity to connect with their faith in a meaningful way, finding inspiration in the simple act of giving back.

Overall, it’s about coming together as a community, making a difference, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

The cost of the trip this year will be $200. There are discounts applied if multiple family members attend the trip. We also have a scholarship fund that can be utilized if there is a financial need. The application for the scholarship is available below.

 

Additionally, we are asking the youth that are attending the trip to submit a t-shirt design if they are interested. The design can be up to two colors and must fit on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper. The designs must be turned in by April 13th. On April 13th we will be voting on the winning design; this design will be on the shirts for this years trip and the artist will earn a FREE mission trip.

There are two mandatory training sessions for all participants.

• March 9th from 11am to 1pm – training and information for 1st timers to missions and or 1st timers to North Carolina
• April 15th from 11am to 1pm
• June 1st from 9am to 12 noon
