800th Home Milestone & Home Dedication

Glen Mar Church has been a long-time partner with Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake – spending countless hours on build sites. The Glen Mar Habitat crew as well as Glen Mar donors have contributed heavily to the number of homes completed.

We have been invited to join Habitat in celebrating their 800th Home Dedication celebrating this milestone, as well as six of their first-time homeowners.

The hour-long festivities will include special remarks from government and community partners, Habitat staff and leadership, newest homeowners, and other supporters who have helped make this dream a reality for their newest homeowners.

The celebration will end with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting! Light refreshments will be served.

Do you enjoy doing handy work? Or do you wish you knew how to do handy tasks around your home? The Glen Mar Habitat Crew welcomes you to join us, either way. You must be 16 or older to work on a Habitat site. We work the second Saturday of every month.
