SPOTLIGHT MINISTRIES:
- Good Friday Cantata – Friday, April 3, 7:30 pm. Please join us as we observe Good Friday with a special worship service featuring a presentation of The Crucifixion by John Stainer, a powerful choral work that portrays the events of the Passion of Christ. The presentation will feature soloists along with a 50-member choir and orchestra. All are welcome!
- Easter Eggstravaganza – Saturday, April 4, 10:00-11:30 am. Join us for an egg hunt, crafts and other activities! Sign up or stop by the table in the Gathering Place. Volunteers are also needed to help support the event! Contact Julie to let her know how you can help!
OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE:
- AMES UMC Food Drive – Warmer weather is finally here, and that means Easter is right around the corner. In order to help our brothers and sisters from Ames United Methodist Church in Baltimore, and our neighbors here in Howard County, Glen Mar will be collecting Easter food items. Please pick up a bag and list in the Gathering Place. We’ll be collecting items until 29 March (Palm Sunday). Thank you for all you do throughout the year to help local families in need.
- Day Resource Center – Saturday, March 28. One of 50 churches supporting the Grassroots Rt. 1 Day Resource Center, Glen Mar provides usually provides lunch on the 4th Saturday of every month. 8-10 adult volunteers are needed to prepare one or more dishes, half of whom will stay to serve lunch on site or do other jobs (e.g., greeter, shower/laundry monitor, pantry). - Easter Eggstravaganza – Saturday, April 4. An event like this requires a lot of support! If you are interested in attending, contact Julie to see how you can help!
- Holy Week & Easter Help is STILL Needed! – Thank you to everyone who signed up to help with Welcoming our guests during Holy Week services and Easter! I am still in need of 7 ushers for Friday, April 3, 7:30 pm – Cantata service, 2 ushers for Sunday, April 5, 6:30 am – Sunrise service, 4 Communion Servers for Sunday, April 5, 6:30 am – Sunrise service, 4 for Sunday, April 5, 9:30 am – Traditional service Pastors’ Assistant to let us know how you would like to serve! Instructions will be provided!

- Christian Summer Camps – The Baltimore Washington Conference offers sleep-away summer camps for 3rd through 12th graders at several nearby camps. Many Glen Mar kids and youth have enjoyed these camps over the years. Learn more here.
- VBS 2026 Rainforest Falls – Registration for Rainforest Falls VBS opens on March first for kids and volunteers! Join us July 13-17th for a week of adventure exploring what it means to be rooted in a relationship with God. An extended option is also available for kids who need a full-day program. YOUTH NEWS:
- Youth Group – Youth Group – Tonight, 5:30-7:00 pm! All 6th-8th grade youth are urged to join us in Youth Lounge for a special Middle School Game Night! Bring $5 for dinner.
- High School Retreat – Youth and adult participants in the Ignite Retreat will return to Glen Mar about 3:45 pm today.
- Palm Sunday – On Sunday, March 29, there will be NO Sunday morning classes for youth (Fuse, Confirmation, Rooted). Youth are invited to join their families for worship! There will be NO Youth Group that evening.
- Easter Sunday – On Sunday, April 5, there will be NO Sunday morning classes for youth. Youth are invited to join their families for worship! There will be NO Youth Group that evening.
- Summer Mission Trips – We are offering two mission trips this summer. Home repairs with Carolina Rebuilding Ministry, June 21-27, for youth and adults currently in 8th grade and older. $300/person with discounts for women, confirmands, and 3rd or more family members. Urban ministry during Baltimore Mission Week July 20-24, for youth and adults currently in 6th grade and older. $125/person with discounts for adults and confirmands. Scholarships are available. MUSIC MINISTRY:

STEPHEN MINISTRY:
- Spring may have arrived, but life can still seem cold and dreary for those who have suffered a loss or experienced a crisis. Our Stephen Ministers are trained to help people through the winters of life, providing emotional and spiritual support during tough times. EARLY LEARNING CENTER:
- Glen Mar’s Early Learning Center – serves children from infants through preschool, and we are currently welcoming families for the 2026–2027 school year! If you know a family who may be looking for care, spread the word!
