Annual Giving Campaign for Ministries and Missions – Mission Accepted

Mission Minute, The Messenger

By Lisa Arbalaez

Every three years, Glen Mar conducts a major giving campaign to address our funding for the costs of our building and all our missions and ministries. We hold smaller campaigns in the second and third years of the three-year campaign to focus more on ministries and missions and that will soon be underway.

The theme for the first phase of the Mission Possible Campaign was “That’s Impossible.” Because your generosity has made the seemingly impossible quite possible during the past two years of pandemic challenges, the theme for this final year of the Mission Possible campaign is “Mission Accepted.” Glen Mar’s offerings have continued steadily, even with all the uncertainty and disruption of these times. As a result, Glen Mar has been able to assist many who have faced stressful events, offer all the programs and ministries our members count on and held some special ones for our community. Like Mr. Phelps (for those who remember the original Mission Impossible TV show), you accepted “the mission” with gusto.

This year’s Ministry and Mission Campaign will kick off on May 8 and conclude with Commitment Sunday on June 5. During in person and online worship services, and in a mailing to you, we will be sharing news about what your gifts have enabled during the past year or so, and what Glen Mar will be able to do in the future thanks to your generosity. We hope you find the stories of the people at Glen Mar as amazing and inspiring as we do. Together and with Christ, all things are possible.
