The Messenger

Dear Glen Mar Friends,

I’m still singing the “Hallelujah Chorus” and “Glorious Day” after our Easter worship celebrations! We had a full house at 9:30, waved streamers and once again proclaimed that the tomb is empty, and Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Hallelujah!

Hallelujah is the word in my heart for the Easter season, as I am filled with gratitude for all the ways that God has been so faithful in and through Glen Mar this quarter. Our series called “I Give Up” allowed us to let go of some things that had been getting in the way between us and God, between us and the abundant life that Jesus comes to bring us. Our Holy Week Prayer Walk blessed so many. And looking forward to spring and summer, I’m excited about having more outdoor events for fun and fellowship, exploring themes of gratitude, prayer, faith, and commitment as part of our “Mission Possible: Accepted” worship series. Confirmation and Pentecost are coming, and VBS preparations continue. And I hope you will join our church at Camden Yards on Father’s Day — let’s go to the ballpark! Hallelujah!

Every new day is a new hallelujah…every small group meeting, every prayer lifted up, every graduation, every time a meal is served to someone who’s hungry, every time someone comes alongside a friend or reaches out a hand to help, it’s a hallelujah to our faithful God. And even in seasons of struggle and strife, our song is “Hallelujah Anyhow” so no matter the season, we give thanks and praise to our God. What is your hallelujah testimony? What are you looking forward to this summer? It’s going to be filled with hallelujahs!

There is so very much to be thankful for…when I look at where we have come from and how God has brought us through, when I feel the presence of our Risen Christ among us, when I look into God’s future….no matter what, it calls for a full-throated hallelujah!

Thank you so much for being a part of our church family. If you want to know more, or find out how to connect with us better, I’d love to hear from you!

See you in Church,

Pastor Mandy
