Dear Glen Mar friends,

I hope you’ll join us on Saturday at 5:00 pm in the Spirit Center for a brief time of worship and Holy Communion with Pastor Chris and some of the members of his current church. I know you’ll show him a Glen Mar welcome. There will be LOTS of time to get to know Chris after he begins his work with us on July 1, but this is an opportunity to begin to mark the transition by gathering at the Lord’s Table. I also joke that it’s proof that he and I are NOT the same person. LOL.

I also hope you’ll join us in worship on Sunday for my last Holy Communion celebration with you and a sermon called “God’s Bright Idea” where I hope to share my prayer for Glen Mar and a bit about where Glen Mar has been, is and is going….

Don’t forget to open the stewardship letter and brochure and be in prayer about making financial commitments to Glen Mar’s mission and ministry (operating) fund. It’s time to make that yearly commitment…the current “commitment” year ends at the end of June and new ones will start July 1. Our “Commitment Sunday” is June 8, Pentecost (and my last Sunday as Lead Pastor). Let’s end our time together well and strong!
