Dear Glen Mar friends,

This Sunday is Pentecost, and it’s also Confirmation, and it’s also Commitment Sunday for our Mission and Ministry (Operating) Fund. I hope you’ve had the chance to review the mailing we sent out, and the instructions about how to give, below….Why not share your giving plans with us and “lead the way” as we “light the way” for Glen Mar’s ministry needs and Glen Mar’s good future?  Thank you to those who have already shared their plans with us, and those who have “stepped up” toward tithing in this transition time! 

Please come if you can, also, for Eric’s and my last Sunday with you as Pastor and “Pastor Spouse”…We are beyond grateful for all the cards and gifts, all the emails and hugs, and all the memories shared over these years we’ve been together. You have been a huge blessing to our family, and to me, for many years now, and I will have no greater privilege than to have been your pastor. To follow Andy and Matt and Rod is also a humbling honor… 

I hope you have found our ministry together to have been a blessing—I certainly have found it to be so. And please know that if I have disappointed you in some way, or failed to be the pastor you needed, I ask for your forgiveness. Know that I have nothing but love and gratitude for all of you, and for this wonderful and special place called Glen Mar.   

Let’s see how many people the Spirit Center will hold, not for me, but for our good and faithful God, who always provides what is needed, and who has provided for us through these seasons of ministry together!

PS Though my last official in-office day is June 10, I wanted to share that we will have a Memorial Service for Sophie Hong’s mother on June 21 in the Spirit Center at 11:00 am. Eric and I will be there to support Sophie and her family and to be with our Glen Mar church family in this tender time.
