Glen Mar Food Drive – May 25 to June 15. As part of our continuing mission to provide food for needy families in Howard County, as well as those served by our partner church in Baltimore, Ames United Methodist Church, Glen Mar will be collecting food items from May 25 to June 15. Please pick up a bag with a list of needed food items from the table in the gathering place, and thank you for your continued efforts to feed local families in need. The next “Aging and the Spiritual Journey” study is scheduled for September 23-November 18. It will meet on Tuesday afternoons from 1:30-3:00 at the church. There are several spots available for the study so if you’d like to sign up or if you would like more information, please don’t wait. Email Cathie Leimenstoll or contact the church office.

What is Stephen Ministry? Stephen Ministry is Christ centered caregiving. Stephen Ministers are congregation members who are trained to listen, care, pray, and encourage those dealing with various life challenges. Back To School – The school year is coming to an end, but the new school year will be here before you know it. In preparation, we’re starting to collect backpacks for students served by Glen Mar’s partner church, Ames United Methodist Church in Baltimore, as well as students here in Howard County. The need is always greatest for high school age students. Please be on the lookout for this type of backpack or consider a financial donation if that is more convenient. If you would like to help with this mission, or have questions, please contact Pat Lee.

Lunch Bunch – Join us on Tuesday, June 17 at 11:30 am in the Lower Gathering Place for lunch! Lunch Bunch is a group of “seasoned citizens” who meet the third Tuesday of each month from September through June for fellowship, fun, and of course, lunch. Our Next Turn @ Rt. 1 DRC – Saturday, June 28, 11:45 am – 2:00 pm. One of 50 churches supporting the Grassroots Rt. 1 Day Resource Center (DRC), Glen Mar provides lunch on the 4th Saturday of every month. Dinner & a Movie – We are looking for families willing to host Dinner & a Movie nights for high school youth this summer. On Wednesday nights we would like a family to provide dinner and then a TV with a way of ordering an online movie and room for a dozen or so people. The timeframe would be from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. We are looking for hosts on: July 2 and July 16. Contact D.C. Veale if interested.

North Carolina Mission Trip – meet in the ELC parking lot this Saturday, June 21, from 4:00 to 4:30 pm for the pre-pack. Bring all tools, luggage and bedding. Meet next Sunday morning, June 22, at 7:30 am for departure.
