On May 25th Glen Mar’s partner congregation in the Sandtown community of West Baltimore – Ames Memorial UMC – received a gift of three properties appraised at over $2.2 million.  Totaling over 36,000 sq ft, this brings to 64,000 sq ft the property under site control by the Resurrection Sandtown project, a community development project endorsed by The Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church.  The two warehouses were donated “as is”, which means they need a lot of help cleaning out the debris left behind.

Much of the debris left behind is paper, which will be sold to a paper recycler, and scrap metal, which will be sold to a metal recycler.  Other items are being listed on Craigslist for resale.  If you would like to donate some time helping identify items that can be resold and/or helping sort paper and metal, please contact Van Beall.
