Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 8:30-2:00, for our sixth annual Jewels for Hope Event

The Covid-19 outbreak continues to significantly impact the number of victims served in FY 2022.  The level of violence has become more severe, increasing the level of support. HopeWorks continues to provide the full range of quality services it has always provided with the additional help of fundraising and individual donations.

HopeWorks of Howard County is the only agency that provides support and advocacy for those who have experienced partner violence.  Their mission is extensive. HopeWorks provides

  • a 24-hour hotline
  • a confidential emergency shelter
  • help for human trafficking victims
  • counseling for victims, children, and abusers
  • legal advocacy and representation
  • outreach and community education
  • accompaniment to the hospital

“Jewels for Hope” was set up to support HopeWorks in their mission – 100% of the  proceeds go to HopeWorks.

How can you help?
  • Donate your slightly-worn jewelry and scarves by October 16 (Drop-off container is located in the Gathering Place)
  • Consider making a monetary donation
  • Attend the sale on November 5  Please spread the word to your family, friends, and neighbors.
