Youth Group Kick-off: Sunday, August 25, 5:00 – 7:30 pm. Bring the whole family for dinner, fun, and information about the Youth Group plans for the year. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share and register today so that we know how many to expect.
Early Learning Center Toddler Playground Fundraiser – Now through September. Purchase a Papa Johns – Official Fundraising Card for $15. The card is good for buy one get one free (pick up only) for ONE YEAR! Purchase on Sunday in the Gathering Place, or contact Alie.

9th Annual Jewels for Hope – Now is the time to consider donating slightly-worn jewelry & scarves. A drop-off container will be in the Gathering Place from September 8 – October 20. This sale event is to benefit Hope Works of Howard County, the county’s Rape Crisis and Domestic Violence Center. Mark your calendars today! The event is on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 8:30am – 2:00pm.

Mission Trip Interest Meeting – Sunday, August 18 at 12:15pm for adults interested in one of two Glen Mar sponsored mission trips. We will explore a fall week-long trip to North Carolina to continue our partnership with Carolina Rebuilding Ministry. We will also explore sending a team to Guatemala for a week-long experience working with Steps of Hope Education Center. Bring your calendars and your questions. Grassroots Meals Ministry: Make a Meal – Tuesday, August 27. Love to cook? Looking for a way to serve those in need in Howard County? Family Matters Pot Luck Dinner – Saturday, September 7 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. Do you have kids in preschool through middle school? We are a small group that typically meets every 1st Saturday of the month. This is a great opportunity to make friends with other families with kids at Glen Mar! Bring the whole family, an entrée or side dish and join us in the Glen Mar Youth Lounge.

High School Dinner & a Movie – Tuesday, August 20, 6:30 -10 pm – Rising 9th grade and up are invited to the home of Molly and Leah Sellers, (email D.C. Veale for address). We’ll enjoy dinner together, then watch and discuss the movie “Wonka.” Bring $5 for dinner.
Flip Flop Art Night: Watercolor Painting – Wednesday, August 21, 6:30 – 8 pm. Middle and high school youth are invited to the final Art Night of the summer for watercolor painting. Please RSVP so we have enough supplies. A donation of $5 per person for supplies is appreciated. We will meet in the Youth Lounge.
Confirmation Information Meeting: Sunday, August 25, 10:45 am in Youth Lounge – All unconfirmed rising 8th grade and older youth and their parents are invited to attend an information session for the 2024-25 confirmation class.

“No Strings” Choir – Love to sing? Interested in trying out Choir but not ready to commit long term? How about once!? Already in the choir and still wanna sing? Join our “No Strings” Choir.
