- Men in Black! – Men’s Choir, also known as Men in Black, will sing on Sunday, November 23 at the 9:30 am service. There will be a rehearsal on Wednesday, November 19 at 7:00 pm in the Music Suite. For more information, please contact Kelvin Ying.
- Thanksgiving Food Drive – Now through Through November 23. Glen Mar will be collecting Thanksgiving food items to support our partners Ames United Methodist Church in Baltimore, and needy families in Howard County. Please pick up a bag with a list of needed food items from the table in the gathering place, and thank you for your efforts to help local families enjoy Thanksgiving.
- Wish Upon A Star – Now through November 23, make someone’s wish come true by stopping by the table in the Gathering Place to choose a gift(s) you would like to purchase or give funds toward gift card/gift basket purchases. You can also sign up or donate on line! Questions? Email the Wish Upon A Star Team.
- Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes for Samaritan’s Purse are due Sunday, November 16. See table in the Gathering Place. If you have any questions, contact Eileen Sturgill.
- Grassroots Meals Ministry – Looking for a way to serve those in need in Howard County? Sign up today to purchase and bring to Glen Mar 2 Frozen Stouffer’s Family-Sized Meatloaves or 5 gallons of milk for the Grassroots Emergency Shelter. - Thank you, Glen Mar! – The Jewels for Hope event this year saw a record number of people both in attendance and as volunteers. Over 300 people attended the sale. There were 50 volunteers working at the sale and others who helped to set up the day before. Thank you to each person who donated jewelry or scarves, made cash donations, attended the event, purchased items, volunteered to set up the event, volunteered to sell and helped to clean up afterwards. Many thanks to the Jewels for Hope team who met and planned the occasion, as well as, the church Communication Team who promoted and advertised the event! We’d also like to thank the communities who served as collection stations! Finally, thank you to the church youth who spent an evening helping to prepare for the event! Pastor Chris, thank you for your support! Jewels for Hope raised a total of $42,610.50 for Hope Works.

YOUTH INFO/EVENTS:
- The Great Costume Move – All 6th-12th grade youth are asked to arrive promptly for youth group tonight at 5:30 pm to help move all of the Journey to Bethlehem costumes from storage to the costume rooms. Many hands makes light work!
- Youth Group – Sunday, November 16, 5:30-7:30 pm. All 6th-12th grade youth are urged to join us for costume moving, dinner, and a fun outing to purchase gifts for kids for Glen Mar’s Wish Upon a Star program. Bring $20 total for dinner and shopping. We could use some parent drivers as well.
