Join “The Journey” Advent Bible Study

Sign up now (or Sunday) to deepen your Advent experience this season. Join us for Adam Hamilton’s “The Journey” a 5-session small group study, including readings, videos with settings in the Holy Land, and group discussion. This study coincides with Glen Mar’s sermon series for the four Sundays of Advent that will enrich our preparations for celebrating the birth of Jesus. Giving Tuesday

In lieu of pastoral gifts this Christmas, please join the “Giving Tuesday” movement, (Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday—it’s a thing!). It happens on Tuesday, November 29 this year. Give to ministries of Glen Mar by clicking the “Give” button on the Glen Mar website and using “Giving Tuesday” in the “Give to:” drop-down. Wish Upon A Star – Helping to Make Christmas Brighter!

Sunday, November 27 is the last day to sign up. Consider helping to make Christmas brighter for about 30 families, as well as the Board of Child Care and Grassroot Crisis Intervention Center by signing up to provide gifts of toys, clothing, food, or gift cards. MLK Jr. Day of Service 2023 – The time is NOW to help make it happen!

Volunteers are needed to serve as activity leads and hosts at our annual MLK Jr. Day of Service at Glen Mar Church on Monday, January 16, 2023. Our Next Turn @ Rt. 1 Day Resource Center – Saturday, November 26

One of 50 churches supporting the Grassroots Rt. 1 Day Resource Center (DRC), Glen Mar provides lunch on the 4th Saturday of every month. Cold Weather Shelter coming December 12-19

Volunteer sign-up begins Sunday, November 27. Like last year, Grassroots will host Cold Weather Shelter guests in a local hotel during the winter months. Many Glen Mar volunteers are needed to buy supplies, make sandwiches and dinners, and deliver meals to guests’ rooms. [Read More]

Breakfast with Santa – Saturday, December 10, from 9:00 – 11:00 am

The Girl Scout Service Unit 660, Troop 10179 invites your family to Breakfast With Santa at Glen Mar Church. This family-friendly event will include a pancake bar, crafts, and photo opportunity with Santa. There will also be an opportunity for little ones to create a letter for Santa that he will take back to the North Pole. The event is FREE and open to the public. We just ask everyone to register/RSVP to assist the Girl Scouts with planning their service event.
