Advent Bible Study

Join us for Adam Hamilton’s “The Journey” this Advent. This 5-session small group study will include readings, videos with settings in the Holy Land, and group discussion. This study coincides with Glen Mar’s sermon series for the four Sundays of Advent that will enrich our preparations for celebrating the birth of Jesus. Operation Christmas Child – Due on November 13

Glen Mar youth will be packing boxes for Operation Christmas Child on Sunday, November 13. Donate small toys and gifts or money for shipping. OR fill boxes at home with your family and return them by November 13. Visit the Samaritan’s Purse website for more information.

Family Christmas Casting Call

We need you! Family Worship is looking for children, youth, and young adults to participate in the Family Christmas Eve worship services. MLK Jr. Day of Service 2023 – The time is NOW to help make it happen!

Kid’s Church Collection for Riverview Elementary School

Hey moms! Bring your gently outgrown kids’ leggings, pants and sweatpants to church to help keep some kids warm and dry this winter. A drop off box is in the Kid’s Wing downstairs.

Help for Hurley

Hurley High School has been damaged by a fire that occurred on Tuesday, October 4. Everyone evacuated safely. The school is closed indefinitely until the inspectors can determine the extent of the damage. HOLA Toastmasters of Ellicott City – Next meeting, Tuesday, November 1 at 7:30 pm

Do you want to practice public speaking, improve your communication and build leadership skills? With Toastmasters, you can break barriers, not your budget. Ames Memorial UMC Celebrates its 165th Anniversary! – Sunday, November 13 at 1:00 pm

Be Smart “Tabling Event” – Sunday, November 13

The Social Justice Group (SJG) is hosting a “tabling event” on Sunday, November 13 to promote our goal of gun violence prevention. The SJG will feature the “Be Smart” program that was launched by “Everytown for Gun Safety.” “Be Smart” teaches practical ways to keep children, youth, and community members safe from gun violence through SMART practices.
