Donate Food This Weekend for Hurley Flood Relief

Our long-time ministry partners in Hurley, VA are recovering from another destructive flood that has damaged homes, roads, and businesses. As a Glen Mar team prepares to travel down to assist Hurley Community Development, we would like to fill a van with non-perishable items to be distributed at Hurley’s food pantry. Drop off any non-perishable food items in the Gathering Place by Sep. 12th to support this community in need.

Flea Market to Benefit American Cancer Society: Saturday, Sept. 11

Glen Mar’s Angels for a Cure will participate in a large outdoor Fall Flea Market at Milford Mill United Methodist Church on Saturday, Sept. 11, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds from the Angels for a Cure table will go to the American Cancer Society. The church is located at 915 Milford Mill Road, Pikesville.

Donate to UMCOR for Relief in Afghanistan and Haiti

We are collecting for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)’s  efforts in Afghanistan and Haiti. UMCOR comes alongside those who suffer from natural or human-caused disasters – be it famine, hurricane, war, flood, fire or other events—to alleviate suffering and to be a source of help and hope for those left most vulnerable. If you’d like to contribute, send your contribution via check to the church. Make the check out to Glen Mar with UMCOR in the memo line.
