Dear Glen Mar friends,
As votes are being counted in some important races around the country, and as Veteran’s Day approaches, I give thanks for the ways that the Church models the servant leadership of Christ, in public and private ways. My prayer, as a citizen of a country that looks divided at times, is that we can model unity in diversity.

Back in August, I had the wonderful opportunity to go on a worship planning retreat in Overland Park, KS on one of the campuses of The Church of the Resurrection. The Church of the Resurrection is a United Methodist Church where Adam Hamilton is the senior pastor.

Glen Mar has mission in its core. Each Glen Martian strives for their mission. The Mission Fair was the place where we glimpsed its scope. There were 13 tables in the gathering area. Fourteen different ministries were present on that day.

Corn Maze: Glen Mar Youth went to Maryland Corn Maze on Saturday, September 17. We enjoyed the zip line, petting zoo, corn pit, and maze. September’s sun was still rendering strong warmth and we felt hot without breeze in the maze.
