Dear Glen Mar friends,
This week in worship, we’ll study the “sinful woman” in Luke’s account who interrupted a dinner, anointing Jesus’ feet with oil and washing Jesus’ feet with her tears. How many times are we “interrupted” in our lives by Jesus and his grace? So often, the “main thing” shows up as a distraction, an interruption, even an annoyance. How is Christ calling you to become vulnerable this Lent, honest about your need and frailty? How is Christ calling you to notice the interruptions, the hidden things, the sparks of the Divine? Join us!
Also, in this Sunday’s edition (online and in print) of the Baltimore Sun, be on the lookout for a colorful half-page ad showing our love and support for our Federal public servants! I’m so proud to be the pastor of a church that cares so deeply for our community and that is so ready to respond when people are hurting.
Cold Weather Shelter is going well (speaking of loving our neighbors/community!). Thank you so much to all who are helping to be Jesus’ hands and feet for our unhoused neighbors this week.
See you in Church,
Mandy
