Hygiene Supplies Needed by Sunday, September 3
Our Glen Mar Youth will gather for a UMCOR Service Project, assembling hygiene kits, on September 24 to benefit those in need due to natural disasters, socio-economic need, and during times of crisis. Items needed are very specific, so please visit our table in the Gathering Place for a list of needed items or visit our blog.

We are preparing for our 7th annual Jewels For Hope event here at Glen Mar Church on November 4 from 8:30 – 2:00 pm. Mark your calendars and tell your friends! Drop-off containers for donations are located in the Glen Mar Gathering Place, at HopeWorks, and at the Yoga Center of Columbia. As always, 100% of sales proceeds go to HopeWorks. ACS Benefit – Outback Dinners – purchase by September 18
Come and dine with family and friends, or pick up dinners to take home – all to benefit the American Cancer Society. Dinners will be available Tuesday, Sept. 26 from 5:30 to 7:15 pm in the Glen Mar Spirit Center. The menu includes sirloin steak and chicken, macaroni and cheese, Caesar salad, bread and butter. Birdies for Bridges Golf Tournament – September 22 at Timbers at Troy
Bridges to Housing Stability is hosting the 2nd Birdies for Bridges Golf Tournament to support our mission to end homelessness through affordable housing solutions and advocacy. The event will be held at Timbers at Troy on September 22, 2023 and begins at 7:30 am. The day will feature a light breakfast, box lunch, a 19th hole cookout, raffles, and several on course contests. Glen Mar’s 2023 Summer Series is Complete!
Summer Concert Series has completed three successful events: Bayside Big Band on May 19, the Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestra on June 18, and Footworks Percussive Dance Ensembleon Aug. 4. Attendance was 350, 400, and 300 respectively. Mark your calendar for two of next year’s concerts: Beau Soir Ensemble (a trio playing the flute, viola, and harp) on Friday, May 31 at 7:00 pm and Charm City Junction on Friday, June 21 at 7:00 pm with a jam session after the concert.
