- What is a Legacy Gift? A legacy gift can take many forms, all of which allow you to make a difference beyond your lifetime. Including Glen Mar in your will or making Glen Mar the beneficiary of a life insurance policy are among the simplest ways to leave a legacy. In many cases this enables us to give more than we could during our lifetime and benefit our children, grandchildren and future generations. Stop at the Legacy Giving table or pick up a brochure in the Gathering Place on Sunday at Glen Mar Church.

We’ve gotten questions about “where we are financially” and “what happened with the campaign, anyway?” So we have prepared an update for Mandy to share. This week, we are covering about “Confidentiality,” a crucial part of Stephen Ministry. Everything a care receiver tells a Stephen Minister, and even the identity of the care receiver, remains strictly confidential, which helps build a safe environment of trust and acceptance that God can use to bring hope and healing. Calling all actors and actresses! We are casting for our Family Christmas Eve Pageant and need children and youth for this very special performance on December 24. Thanksgiving Food Drive – Ends November 19
In partnership with Ames United Methodist Church in Baltimore and My Sister’s Place Women’s shelter in Baltimore, Glen Mar is collecting food items to help up to 250 families celebrate Thanksgiving. Wish Upon A Star, Helping to Make Christmas Brighter! Now through November 26
Wish Upon A Star is again assisting about 30 families with clothing, food, and toys. Now through November 26th, you may choose stars in the Gathering Place or sign up online on our “Wish Upon A Star” blog. Stop by the Gathering Place this Sunday to learn more.

Sponsor one or two Spirit Center altar flower arrangements for a weekend. To sign up for an available weekend, fill out a flower envelope. The cost is $40 per arrangement. American Sign Language (ASL) Basic Training – Began November 6 at 6:00 pm
