- MARK YOUR CALENDAR! “A Celebration of Hymns” – 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 18 – right here, for FREE, in the Spirit Center. Join Eric and many friends from Glen Mar’s music ministry as they present a variety of stirring arrangements of some of the church’s most beloved hymns and songs. The program will include renditions of several concert arrangements by artists such as Mark Hayes, Joel Raney, and Joseph Martin along with some of Eric’s original anthems for chorus and handbells, and more! Come celebrate with us!
- SAVE THE DATE for our Celebration Sunday Church-Wide Picnic at noon on Sunday, June 9 featuring a barbecue style menu prepared by George Dohner and crew. What will we celebrate? Commitment Sunday and the ministry of Pastor Melaina. Don’t miss the celebration!
- VBS Help Needed – We need volunteers for VBS both during VBS and to help set up breakfast each morning for the VBS team. Sign up at the VBS table! We also need donations! Visit the “Wish Upon a Fish” donation board to grab a fish and purchase the item on it. All donations can be dropped off at the VBS table. New items will be added as we get closer to VBS!

Youth Group – Sunday, May 5 at 5:30 pm
Fitting It All In ~ We all have busy lives, between school, families, friends, extracurricular activities, sleep, and everything else going on, it is sometimes hard to know where God fits in. Come out to youth group and we will talk about what our priorities are and how to make sure they align with what we want. Join us. Bring $5 for dinner.
HOLA Toastmasters of Ellicott City – Next Meeting Tuesday, May 7 at 7:30pm
We meet twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm. We have hybrid meetings both online and in person on first Tuesdays at Glen Mar and on ZOOM only on third Tuesdays. For more information, email Rajan Gupta.
Dancing Needles – Thursday, May 9 at 1:00 pm
Do you enjoy knitting and crocheting or would you like to learn? We need you in our prayer shawl group. Prayer shawls are given to those in hospital and those in need of special care as a reminder that others care and are praying for them. The group is also making baby blankets for our newborns and scarves for our armed forces. We usually meet the second Thursday of every month at 1:00 pm in Room 144 to knit, crochet, and share together. If you wish you can knit or crochet at home and we can arrange to have your finished items picked up or dropped off at church. Donations of yarn are always welcome.
Habitat4Humanity – Next build date is Saturday, May 11
Do you enjoy doing handy work? Or do you wish you knew how to do handy tasks around your home? The Glen Mar Habitat Crew welcomes you to join us, either way. You must be 16 or older to work on a Habitat site. We work the second Saturday of every month. If construction isn’t your gift, you can still support this wonderful mission by volunteering in the Restores. Contact Adrienne Taylor to learn more or to sign up.
Social Justice Group – Tuesday, May 14 at 7:00 pm
Join us in room 159 if you are passionate about social justice and want to make a difference in the world? Join us as we explore ways to support migrants arriving in D.C.

Confirmation Service – Sunday, May 19 at 4:00 pm
Everyone is invited to this special worship service. Support Glen Mar’s confirmation students as they profess their faith and join the church. The service will be led by the students with a special message from Pastor Mandy.
Lunch Bunch – Next lunch is Tuesday, May 21 at 11:30 am
Lunch Bunch is a group of “seasoned citizens” (55 and up) who meet in the lower lobby for fellowship, fun and, of course, lunch. This month, it’s George Dohner’s chicken dinner! If you have any questions, contact the lunch bunch team.
Alphabet Soup – Tuesday, May 21 at 7:00 pm
