There’s always something happening at Glen Mar.

Used Real Pumpkin Collection

Drop off your used pumpkin (whole or decorated) to Glen Mar after you clean up your Halloween decorations. The wonderful family that loans us farm animals for Journey to Bethlehem would love to have them for their goats, sheep and cows, who will munch them all down. Drop off near the pile of bricks out back.

Jewels for Hope – Saturday, Nov 6 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm

Invite your friends and join us on Saturday for “Jewels for Hope” a jewelry and scarves sale to support HopeWorks of Howard County. Admission is free; a donation of $5 is suggested. All proceeds go to HopeWorks. Read more.

High School Random Acts of Kindness

On Sunday, Nov. 7, 3:00 – 5:00 pm we will be heading out into the community to do some leaf raking. Contact Sean Danaher if you know someone who might benefit.

Operation Christmas Child

Glen Mar is collecting gift boxes for Operation Christmas Child, a project that ships shoe boxes filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items to children around the world. Drop off filled boxes and donations by Nov. 14 in the Gathering Place. Read more.

Understanding The True Meaning of Christmas

This Advent, Glen Mar will be studying “Light of the World: A Beginner’s Guide to Advent”, by Amy Jill Levine in both the Advent sermons series and bible study groups. Read more.

What is a Legacy Gift?

A legacy gift is simply a gift that outlives us. Just as we want to assure that we leave a legacy for our children and grandchildren, it is possible to provide a legacy for future Glen Mar ministries. Legacy gifts can take the form of including Glen Mar in a will, establishing a charitable remainder trust, naming Glen Mar as beneficiary in an insurance policy and other means. Read more.
