New Minister for Youth and Missions! Glen Mar has hired a new Minister for Youth and Missions – D.C. Veale. Many of you may know D.C. from his time here a few years ago as Minister for Missions or even before that when he was the Youth Minister. He’ll be around this weekend, so be on the lookout.

Glen Mar Early Learning Center – Registration Now Open
Registration is NOW OPEN to the community for the Glen Mar ELC. We are busy planning our 2024-2025 school year. We offer full-day care for infants through 5 years old. Check out our website for more information and to schedule a tour today!
Glen Mar’s kids need YOU!
Sunday morning programs at 9:30 for infants through 5th grade need classroom assistants. Sign up to help once or twice a month (or more!). People are especially needed in the Nursery – paid and unpaid positions. Contact Julie Metakes to volunteer or learn more.
Vacation Bible School (VBS) – Register Today!
Registration has begun! Kids currently in kindergarten and older are invited into an amazing undersea adventure where they’ll experience the ever-flowing, never-ending love of God this summer at Scuba VBS – July 8-12, 9am to noon, with an extended day option. Youth Group – Sunday, April 7
The youth group is serving our Glen Mar body and benefiting “Sleep in Heavenly Peace” by hosting the Spaghetti Dinner from 5 – 7 pm.
Social Justice Group – Tuesday, April 9 at 7:00 pm
Passionate about social justice and want to make a difference in the world? Join us in room 159 as we explore ways to support migrants arriving in D.C.
Dancing Needles – Thursday, April 11 at 1:00 pm
Do you enjoy knitting and crocheting or would you like to learn? We need you in our prayer shawl group. Prayer shawls are given to those in hospital and those in need of special care as a reminder that others care and are praying for them. The group is also making baby blankets for our newborns and scarves for our armed forces. We usually meet the second Thursday of every month at 1:00 pm in Room 144 to knit, crochet, and share together. If you wish you can knit or crochet at home and we can arrange to have your finished items picked up or dropped off at church. Donations of yarn are always welcome.
Mission Trip Training – Saturday, April 13 at 11:00 am
Get ready for a team building and training session for our upcoming mission trip. If you are signed up for the Mission Trip or are planning to sign up, join us in the Youth World from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Habitat For Humanity – Next build date is April 13
Do you enjoy doing handy work? Or do you wish you knew how to do handy tasks around your home? The Glen Mar Habitat Crew welcomes you to join us, either way. You must be 16 or older to work on a Habitat site. We work the second Saturday of every month. If construction isn’t your gift, you can still support this wonderful mission by volunteering in the Restores. Contact Adrienne Taylor to learn more or to sign up.
Lunch Bunch – Tuesday, April 16 at 11:30 am
Lunch Bunch is a group of “seasoned citizens” (55 and up) who meet in the lower lobby for fellowship, fun and, of course, lunch. This month, it’s “Pot Luck ” – so bring a main dish, side dish or dessert. Drinks will be supplied. If you have any questions, contact Lois.
