- Cold Weather Shelter – February 26 to March 4. It’s time to provide for our week! Seeking support with bulk food items, individually wrapped sandwiches, and dinners for 30 people. Your assistance ensures a warm and nourishing environment for those in need during this crucial period. Join us in making a positive impact and contributing to the well-being of the community. - Prepare for Lent with a Bible Study. Join us throughout the season of Lent (February 14 – March 28) with the Lenten Bible study, Witness at the Cross, by Amy Jill Levine. We will learn how each witness at the cross had distinct roles, diverse perspectives, messages, and experiences of love and grace with Jesus. A new study group for Tuesday evenings is forming. Join us in the Gathering Place after Sunday Worship to sign up – or sign up here.
- Pancake Supper – Tuesday, February 13, 5-7 pm. Prepare for the start of Lent by eating pancakes! Please sign up on the website, on Realm, or in the Gathering Place starting Sunday, January 28 so we have enough food. Cost is a “free will offering” supporting Sleep in Heavenly Peace and Home of Our Own Howard.
- Ash Wednesday, February 14. Ash Wednesday marks the first day in the season of Lent – a 40-day season of reflection, repentance and renewal that prepares us for a fuller and more joyful experience of Jesus’ resurrection on Easter. We have two options (below). Join us!
- “Ashes to Go” – 12:00 to 2:00 pm, an informal individual service – drive-thru style – in the Glen Mar front entrance round-about
- Ash Wednesday Worship Service – 7:30 pm

Glen Mar Early Learning Center – Registration Now Open
Registration is NOW OPEN to the community for the Glen Mar ELC. We are busy planning our 2024-2025 school year. We offer full-day care for infants through 5 years old. Check out our website for more information and to schedule a tour today!
Youth Summer Mission Trip – Registration Now Open
Youth Summer Mission Trip to Plymouth, NC – June 23 – 29, 8th grade and older, $200 per person. Register by April 13. First training is on March 9. Learn more and sign up here.
Overnight Camp – Registration is Now Open
Registration is now open for Manidokan and West River Summer Camps, offering overnight programs for students entering 1st through 12th grades. Students get a week away and enjoy all that camp has to offer: swimming, climbing, hiking, canoeing, games, and much more. Visit BWC Camps and Retreats for more information.

Altar Flowers – Sponsor/Purchase Flowers for the Sanctuary
Honor a Loved One or Special Occasion – Sponsor one or two Spirit Center altar flower arrangements for Sunday Worship. You have the option to either purchase or donate to “Shut-In” ministry. Youth Group – Sunday, February 11 at 5:30 pm
Are you ready for some football? Or maybe just some fun commercials? It is Super Bowl night and we are going to watch the game together. If you aren’t interested in the game, the game room will be open with ping pong, foosball, and Nintendo Switch games. Instead of bringing money, bring a side or dessert to share while we watch the big game, and we’ll take care of the main dish and drinks.
Social Justice Group – Tuesday, February 13 at 7:00 pm in room 159
Glen Mar’s Social Justice Group meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month (except December) at 7:00 pm. This group will educate itself on the many social justice issues to be addressed in our community and discern how to effectively engage and take action. All are welcome to attend this group.

Family Matters Pot Luck Dinner – Saturday, March 2 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm
Do you have kids in preschool through middle school? We are a small group that typically meets every 1st Saturday of the month. This is a great opportunity to make friends with other families with kids at Glen Mar! Bring the whole family, an entrée or side dish and join us in the Glen Mar Youth Lounge.
Youth Group Bowling – Sunday, March 3 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm
Join us for a fun afternoon of bowling at Normandy Bowlero on Rt. 40. We’ll meet at the bowling alley from 2 to 3:30 PM, and it costs $20 per person. Register HERE by February 23.
