UPCOMING EVENTS:
-
Ash Wednesday – Wednesday, March 5. Ash Wednesday marks the first day in the season of Lent: a season of reflection, repentance and renewal that prepares us for a fuller and more joyful experience of Jesus’ resurrection on Easter. We begin our Lenten Sermon Series with our evening worship service, “Meeting Jesus at the Table” at 7:30 pm. There will be Ashes To Go, 12:00 to 1:00 pm in the Front Entrance Round-About.
-
Upcoming Sermon Series – Wednesday, March 5 – Sunday, April 13. In the season of Lent, we will explore Meeting Jesus at the Table. Tables are important places of human connection. We’re often most fully alive to life when sharing a meal around a table. Jesus spent a lot of his time around tables–welcoming people, feeding people, illustrating what life in the Kingdom is like. He even turned over a table or two! Come take your place this Lent, at the table of grace.
- Habitat For Humanity – Next work date is Saturday, March 8. Do you enjoy doing handy work? Or do you wish you knew how to do handy tasks around your home? The Glen Mar Habitat Crew welcomes you to join us, either way. Contact Adrienne Taylor to learn more or to sign up at ha*****@********mc.org.
- Social Justice Group – Tuesday, March 11, 7:00 pm. This group educates itself on the many social justice issues to be addressed in our community and discern how to effectively engage and take action. All are welcome to attend this group!
- Dancing Needles – Thursday, March 13, 1:00 pm. Do you enjoy knitting and crocheting? We need you in our prayer shawl group! Prayer shawls are given to those in hospitals and those in need of special care as a reminder that others care and are praying for them.
YOUTH INFO/EVENTS:
-
Youth Group – All 6th-12th grade youth are encouraged to join us tonight from 5:30-7:00 pm in the Youth Lounge for the next segment of our spiritual practices series, a discussion on prayer: how to low-key sip tea with God. Bring $5 for dinner.
-
Next Week – Please update your calendars to reflect that Sunday, March 9, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm will be Messy Game Night.
-
